High Gas Prices are Great
I love high fuel prices. Whenever I hear about the rising cost of oil it makes me happy. You see 20% of my 401K is in an energy fund that is invested in oil companies. Last quarter I made almost $2000 in this one fund alone. During that same period I drove maybe 3000 miles. My diesel hatchback gets 43 MPG and I paid an average of $3.10 for diesel. My fuel cost for the quarter was around $216.
So for every dollar I paid at the pump, my 401K energy fund increased by almost $10. Works for me. I’d like to thank all you SUV drivers for contributing to my retirement account.
