Today I released advertising on INeedCoffee. Why did I wait 8 years to do this? I figured out a way to pay the writers. In March, I met up with Joe Crawford, who told me about a WordPress plugin that randomized the AdSenseID for each post. Using this idea I was able to modify the INeedCoffee publisher that I wrote years ago.

Unlike other sites which don’t pay their writers, INeedCoffee will be splitting the revenue 50/50 with the contributors. I believe it is the only fair thing to do.

I’m also hoping to attract more coffee professionals to write for the site. Maybe they were writing for another site and not getting compensated.
