John Kerry Was at my Gym This Morning

Well not really. But there was a guy that looked exactly like John Kerry did at the age of about 35. Tall, lanky, dark eyes and a long chin. The sad thing was he struggled to bench 95 pounds. Doesn’t sound like Commander in Chief level strength does it? As much as people dislike President Bush, at least he can bench 185 pounds (for 5 reps).

People ask me how Arnold was reelected as Governor in a Democratic state. I tell them because he was stronger than Phil Angelides. Not figuratively, but literally. Arnold can probably still bench over 300 pounds. I’d be surprised if Phil could a single girls push-up.

This got me thinking that in most Presidential elections the physically stronger candidate usually wins. Bush 43 was stronger than Kerry and Gore. Clinton was stronger than the injured Dole and older Bush 41. Bush 41 was probably stronger than Dukakis. And back in the early 1980’s, Reagan was stronger than Carter and Mondale.

With this scientific study submitted, each party should nominate their fittest candidate. So instead of sound-bite debates, let’s bring back American Gladiators to help us pick our nominees.
