The Importance of Search Engine Sitemaps

After Carl convinced me that creating a search engine sitemap was a wise thing to do, I jumped headfirst into the project. Along the way I learned a lot. I even cranked out the ASP.NET Article of the Day on the topic.
Are the sitemaps working? Have they resulted in more web traffic from the major [...]

Friday at the San Diego Zoo

Spent two hours at the San Diego Zoo this morning. Each time I go I see animals that I missed on previous visits. Today the tiger, gorilla and polar bears were active.

I also uploaded two videos to my YouTube Page. One is of a tiger and the other is a gorilla.

Grand Jury Duty

I’ve already been called for regular jury duty twice since moving to California. Now I’ve been summoned to appear at the Federal courts for jury duty. This isn’t the 3 day jury trail. They want me for an entire month. The month of August. The month I’ll be up in Seattle.
I would have been happy [...]

Starting Another Blog?

I can’t believe I’m actually considering starting a third blog. I’ve already got this blog here on CriticalMAS and my technical blog over on Digital Colony. Not to mention the monthly e-zine INeedCoffee. Did I forget DeepFitness?
I’ve decided to put RanchoSanPasqual.org up for sale. That site helped me sell my house. [...]

ASP.NET Article of the Day

The last week I’ve researched and coded multiple approaches to developing search engine sitemaps. After completing the sitemaps for DeepFitness, INeedCoffee and DigitalColony, I posted an article on what I learned.
Build a Search Engine SiteMap in C#
Today I discovered that Microsoft has listed it as the ASP.NET article of the day. Cool.

Baby MAS

Here is a photo gallery that includes photos of me as a baby. The first 4 are taken from day 1 at the hospital. The next 3 are from me at 5 months old. After that is the classic sugar-crazed one year old photo. Lastly are the shots that were taken and used in a [...]

Silver Surfer Meets BeetleJuice

In September 2001, I was wise enough to buy a diesel hatchback that got 43-49 MPG. I still own the VW Golf TDI. Diesel engines typically last twice as long as standard engines and are more fuel efficient.
I named my car Silver Surfer. Lura named her VW Beetle BeetleJuice. BeetleJuice is gone, but [...]

New York City - July 1999

My first visit to New York City was July 4th weekend in 1999. The temperatures were around 100 degrees and everybody stayed inside or left town. My first NYC experience and there was nobody around. It was a ghost town.

Mr. Smith Goes To Washington 1998

Below is a reprint from something I wrote in July 1998.
It’s July 1998 and I’m still living in Florida and Lura is already in DC. Full of White House connections Lura scores us passes to view the fireworks display on the White House lawn. Below is a collection of photos from the July 4th weekend.
