Silver Surfer Meets BeetleJuice

In September 2001, I was wise enough to buy a diesel hatchback that got 43-49 MPG. I still own the VW Golf TDI. Diesel engines typically last twice as long as standard engines and are more fuel efficient.

New York City - July 1999

My first visit to New York City was July 4th weekend in 1999. The temperatures were around 100 degrees and everybody stayed inside or left town. My first NYC experience and there was nobody around. It was a ghost town.

Seattle Bound

It’s official. By August 1st, Seattle will become my 5th hometown. How many people get a chance to live in the Midwest (Ohio), the South (Florida), the Mid-Atlantic (Northern Virginia), Southern California and the Pacific Northwest?
