Putting Around Pike Place

Today I went exploring downtown Seattle. I seemed to find more things than I did back on my first visit in May.

Having never tried Russian food, I had to try a pirozhki at Cafe Yarmarka. It was pretty good.

The last time I was down by the original *$, I didn’t order anything. Today [...]

Great place. Definitely take the Underground Tour someday.

Actually we almost got caught up in a mob that turned out to be the tour. If we were thinking quickly, we could have gotten a free tour.

Graceland - April 2000

I really need to return to Graceland and honor Elvis with a proper photo gallery.

Coffee Cupping At Trabant

Yesterday I participated in a coffee cupping at Trabant. Trabant is located in Seattle’s University District. Since starting INeedCoffee back in 1999, I’ve received many coffee related invitations. What is interesting about the cupping invite was it came via this blog post here on CriticalMAS and not from INeedCoffee.

R-Score of 126

Nationwide Bank has an online test that calculates your R-Score. The R-Score is your retirement score. According to this mini-wizard, I’ll have 126% of what I need to maintain my current standard of living when I retire.

Money From Saddam’s Iraq

This 25 Dinar bill from the Central Bank of Iraq is something I picked up a few years ago that turned up again during the move. Before I lose it, I wanted to scan it.

Discovery Park in Seattle

Today we braved the rain and did some city hiking in Seattle’s Discovery Park. We took the light house tour. On the way home we finally found a good Mexican restaurant in Seattle.

In Search of MAS

Aviva found a MOS Burger in Okinawa, Japan.
Too bad it isn’t MAS Burger, I know, Michael. It stands for Mountains, Ocean, Sun.
That’s OK. I located plenty of “MAS” signs during my trip to South America last year.

2500 Accident Free Hours

During the move, I stumbled upon an award I earned for driving 2,500 accident free hours for Pizza Hut. Before I resigned in 1995, I think I had exceeded 3,000 AFH.

Should I add this to my resume?
Mr. Smith, I see you graduated from Ohio State and have 10+ years of industry experience. What [...]
