Vacuum brewers come in many shapes and sizes, yet they are more alike than they are different. They have the same basic components and operate on the same basic principles. You may also hear of these devices referred to as vac pots.

I think the web is missing a forum for unbelievable coincidences. Craig & I share ours constantly. Quick example - a big game here (in Okinawa) that the wives like to get together & play is bunco. It’s a dice game, and I’d never heard of it before moving here. I’ve played a few times, it’s fun. I went last Sunday to a great game. Monday we watched the most recent episode of Friday Night Lights (guilty pleasure) and the wife on the show decides to go play bunco with the girls.
So a few days ago, Craig was saying he wanted regular coffee (I tend to make espresso drinks only). We don’t have a drip coffeemaker, but I did bring my press. I told him I’d have to look up some directions because I wasn’t sure about the grounds to water ratio or what temp was good, etc. Though my burr grinder does have a press setting.
That was the day before this post. So thanks for reading my mind - I’m happily sipping my press coffee coffee.
