I’ve been on the Seattle side of the bridge for about 10 days now and I’ve already gone on three urban hikes in excess of two hours. I’ve also done numerous hikes of 20-30 minutes. Walking around Queen Anne, Pike Market and Pioneer Square sure beats walking around the Volvo dealership in Bellevue.

A week ago I was chatting with Matt about biographies. He mentioned reading one on Walt Disney. Do you have a favorite biography that you would recommend? Note that I’m not interested in actors, athletes or musicians. Everyone else is fair game.
Yesterday I went up to Lopez Island, which is part of the San Juan Islands. These islands are off the coast of Washington and butt right up against Canada. The weather was perfect and the island was peaceful and not crowded.

Sunday the Seattle Coffee Club went to Aster Coffee Lounge in the Ballard area of Seattle. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised to see Intelligentsia Coffee. This means the Black Kat espresso blend. Yummy.
