Skinny Tie Mix Tape
Here is a music mix tape I made with some of my favorite New Wave pop hits from the very late 1970s and early 1980s. I call this 10 song mix SKINNY TIE. Enjoy.
- General Public – Tenderness
- Split Enz – I Got You
- The Cars – Bye Bye Love
- Madness – It must Be love
- Nick Lowe – Cruel To Be Kind
- Squeeze – Tempted
- Haircut 100 – Love Plus One
- English Beat – Mirror In The Bathroom
- Elvis Costello – Watching The Detectives
- The Jam – Beat Surrender
Let me know what you think.

Nice mix.
Here’s a crime for you — “Bye Bye Love” is the best Cars song, yet it isn’t on their greatest hits album. Lots of people think “Moving In Stereo” is a slam-dunk choice for a Cars greatest hits album too (I think they have Phoebe-impaired judgment, but who am I to say?), yet it isn’t on there either.

Alex – agreed.
At my 10 year high school reunion, people couldn’t agree on what music to play. I asked if they had the CARS greatest hits. They did. Everyone was pleased.
